Hi! I found your blog on the Best Friends lodging site. Unfortunately, we have dogs we bring so we can't lodge at your place. I wanted to say hello as we are also making life changes and going to pick up and move to Kanab from Las Vegas (we are originally from Colorado). Husband is retiring and we will be moving there this summer. I have an almost 9 year old son that I currently homeschool. I would love to hear from you about anything regarding moving to Kanab/Fredonia area, such as schools, places to rent (we will buy, but wanted to rent and get a feel for neighborhoods/areas first). I am also applying for jobs at Best Friends, where I plan to hopefully work, or continue volunteering for the rest of my life. Thank you for making this blog and pictures.
Hi Sonya, That's terrific that you are moving here. We rent d for 5 years before we bought and I'm glad we did. I thought I wanted to live outside of town on land but I realized I like being in town because I participate in a lot of community activities and we are close to the elementary school. Hi Jen - Thank you for posting the gorgeous pictures! I've actually been talking to my husband (I use "to" rather than "with" because my spouse listens only, making no comments) about the Kanab area. Our daughter is 25 and living in L.A. so we have nothing really holding us to the Boulder, CO area where we have lived for the past 26 years. I would like to come down to Best Friends with spouse maybe late August/early Sept. Will contact you when the time comes.
