Opal and Fast Eddie with our daughter

No pets please. We have two house cats that live upstairs and are sectioned off from the dogs.  We have recently adopted two dogs. We adopted Opal our ten year old Alaskan Malamute  in 2013.  She lived at a nearby Indian reservation until her owner passed away. In 2013 we also adopted Fast Eddie who was rescued from a kill shelter in California by a Best Friends dog trainer. He is a cuddle bug.  They come down to greet guests but stay upstairs with the family most of the time.

  1. I had the pleasure of staying here in October 2012. It was such a great experience. I felt lucky to have found hosts that were not only friendly and hospitable, but also provided a beautiful space. The rooms were very clean and I had fresh towels whenever I needed them. The bed was so comfortable too! As stated in the post, the house is close to town, great hiking, and Best Friends Animal Society. I highly recommend staying here, just not when I want to because I don’t want to stay anywhere else.

    1. When you walk in our front door there is a living room, two bedrooms and bathroom we live upstairs. The house is built into a hill so the second floor is ground level from the backdoor. It isn't private because we use the front door as well as our friends. We walk through the area but don't hang out down there.
